Martin Warmen is th Director of Martin Warman Consultancy Ltd, based in England, where he provides specialized consultancy to the pharmaceutical sector on process analytics, continuous manufacturing, and technology strategy. With over 25 years of industry experience, Warman is noted for leading the development of the first approved pharmaceutical products made via continuous manufacturing during his seven years at Vertex Pharmaceuticals. Prior to this, he led the Global PAT (Process Analytical Technology) Development Team at Pfizer Global Manufacturing, spearheading platform solutions for PAT applications and contributing to Pfizer’s early continuous manufacturing initiatives.
He has also held roles as Research Director for the Medicines Manufacturing Innovation Centre (MMIC) in Scotland, Professor of Practice at the University of Strathclyde, and held posts in instrument companies and the petrochemical industry, including at Dionex and Shell. Warman is highly active in professional organizations, serving on the executive committee of ASTM E55 for pharmaceutical manufacturing standards and chairing both the ISPE PAT Community of Practice global steering committee and the UK Affiliate PAT CoP.
Warman holds a BSc from Bromley College of Technology. He is recognized internationally as a thought leader in pharmaceutical manufacturing innovation, process analytics, and technology standards
