Dr. M. Nicolas Cruz Bournazou is the Head of the KIWI-biolab at the Technical University of Berlin (TU Berlin), Germany. With a doctorate in Model Based Process Engineering from TU Berlin, he leads a dynamic,international research group focused on the digitalization of bioprocess development. Dr. Cruz B. is an authority in applying machine learning, model-based approaches, and automation to accelerate high-throughput bioprocess optimization and the creation of autonomous biolabs.
His scientific career includes postdoctoral research at TU Berlin, senior research at ETH Zurich, and expert roles in industrial bioprocess modeling.
